We live in DeKalb, Illinois. The birth of this blog follows budget mismanagement and a historic number of increases in city taxes, fees, rates and fines despite widespread and emphatic voter disapproval. Therefore, this site is dedicated to the cause of putting the question to voters via referendum about whether we should retain Home Rule.

good to see effort to reign in the needless growth of government…. I will say, fyi, I’ve talked to one of the citycouncil members, the one who runs “Copy Service” -he says that the internet has hurt tax revenue, since people buy things online, instead of in Dekalb. Just saying
